Day 1: Arrival in San Juan & Great City Tour

Reception at the San Juan airport or bus terminal. Transfer and check-in at your selected hotel. At 2:30 p.m., the Great City Tour begins, offering a complete urban and scenic immersion to discover the main landmarks of San Juan's capital. This includes the valuable historical legacy of Sarmiento's Birthplace (Casa Natal de Sarmiento) and the imposing architecture of the Cathedral. The circuit continues with a panoramic view of the avant-garde Bicentennial Theater (Teatro del Bicentenario), followed by a guided tour and tasting at either the Campo de Olivos Olive Oil Factory or the picturesque Finca Sierras Azules Winery to savor traditional local flavors. The day concludes alongside the impressive Ullum Dam (Dique de Ullum), an oasis nestled between hills that offers unique sunset views before returning to the hotel.

Day 2: Journey to the Triassic Geoforms

After breakfast, transfer to Valle Fértil. Visit Ischigualasto Provincial Natural Park, popularly known as the Valley of the Moon (Valle de la Luna). Declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, this mystical territory will transport you 250 million years into the past through a vehicular circuit. This drive reveals a purely lunar landscape guarded by imposing clay and sandstone formations sculpted by erosion, such as The Mushroom (El Hongo), The Submarine (El Submarino), and The Bowling Green (La Cancha de Bochas). The experience is enriched with a visit to its renowned Natural Sciences Museum, a key research center displaying fossil remains of some of the oldest dinosaurs on the planet discovered right here in San Juan. The day concludes with a return to the town of Valle Fértil for overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Giants of Red Rock & Return to San Juan

Following breakfast, we will depart early, crossing the provincial border into the majestic Talampaya National Park. Here, nature strikes on a monumental scale as you enter a canyon flanked by vertical red sandstone walls over 150 meters high. During the internal guided excursion, you will discover the rich history of pre-Hispanic cultures captured in ancient petroglyphs, the surprising echo that resounds within the walls of The Gothic Cathedral (La Catedral Gótica), and the majesty of The Monk (El Monje) geoform, all while observing the native wildlife that inhabits this stunning red desert. At the end of the tour, we will journey back to San Juan via the spectacular and scenic Huaco Slope (Cuesta de Huaco), a winding road that snakes through intensely colored geological formations and offers formidable views from its panoramic lookouts. Arrival in the city in the afternoon. Accommodation at your selected hotel.

Day 4: Departure from San Juan

Breakfast. Departure transfer to the San Juan airport or bus terminal. End of services.

Important Recommendations & Notes: Luggage Advice: For the Ischigualasto and Talampaya excursion, we highly recommend bringing only a small daypack/bag and leaving the rest of your luggage at your hotel in San Juan.

At Talampaya, the classic "Talampaya Canyon" experience is reserved for passengers by default.

Passengers pay entry fees and internal circuits at the destination.
